we sat at the steps of an unfamiliar building that night. we sit, on top of the world, lions roaring and giving light to our silhouettes. on top of the world i laid back into the curve of the lions back, eyes up eyes open, suddenly dizzy from the cool air of the night and the previous caffeine. a moment of free-fall and i’m on top of the world but buildings surround, they tower and start to close in.
contemplative night. dim lights creating a contemplative aura, and a heavy sadness that this will all end and there will never be nights like these anymore. nothing will ever be the same again.






i love countrysides, vast green pastures and open skies. i love the melancholic feeling it gives- that sweet, beautiful aspect of sadness, listening to my stay golden playlist, reading, thinking, drifting off to faraway thoughts..feels like i could sit like this forever.
